What you will do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Astrexa, you will design and deliver core capabilities across software initiatives and customer solutions. You will own technical decisions in your domain and raise the engineering standard around you.

1. Design and deliver production features end to end, from requirement to running service.

2. Own architecture decisions within your domain and document the trade-offs behind them.

3. Review code, set engineering standards and mentor mid-level engineers.

4. Work directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders across international markets to shape technical solutions.

5. Own the reliability, performance and security of the services you deliver.

6. Contribute to technical strategy as Astrexa scales across new markets.

7. Support technical discovery and estimation for custom software initiatives.

What you bring

We are looking for depth rather than breadth. Strong engineering judgement, ownership and production experience matter more than a long list of technologies.

Experience | 5–8 years building and operating production software used by real customers

Core stack | Deep expertise in one of: TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, C#/.NET, or Python/Django/FastAPI

Data | Strong SQL and relational modelling; schema design and safe migrations. PostgreSQL or SQL Server

APIs | REST design, versioning, error contracts, idempotency and third-party integrations

Quality | Automated testing as part of how you work

Delivery | CI/CD pipelines, Git workflow and disciplined code review

Cloud | Working competence on AWS, Azure or GCP

Security | OWASP Top 10, authentication vs authorisation and data protection by design

Communication | Professional English, spoken and written, sufficient to work with international customers

Preferred qualifications

Kafka or RabbitMQ · Docker and Kubernetes · prior delivery to international enterprise customers · domain experience in manufacturing, ERP, engineering or field operations · mentoring or small-team leadership.

You will join a compact engineering team led by the CTO, working across customer solutions and Astrexa’s broader technology portfolio. You will have exposure to enterprise requirements across the UAE, Europe, Australia and the United States.
