What you will do

As a Software Engineer at Astrexa, you will build and improve production software across customer and business initiatives, working with senior engineers on solutions that reach real users. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, from implementation and testing through deployment and support.

1. Build features from defined requirements, with tests, through to production.

2. Investigate and resolve defects in existing services.

3. Take part in code reviews — both giving and receiving.

4. Write technical documentation that the next engineer can actually use.

5. Contribute to sprint planning, estimation and technical discussions.

6. Support the features and services you ship once customers are using them.

7. Contribute to technical-content or marketing initiatives when your engineering expertise can help communicate Astrexa’s technology to the market.

What you bring

We care more about how well you know one stack and how well you engineer with it than how many technologies you can list.

Experience | 2–5 years of professional software development, with work that reached real users

Core stack | Strong in one of: TypeScript with React and Node.js, Java and Spring Boot, C# and .NET, or Python

Modern web engineering | Responsive web applications, component-based UI and API-driven architecture

Data | Confident SQL — joins, indexes, aggregation and practical migrations

APIs | REST APIs, error handling, retries and pagination

Quality | Unit and integration testing as part of your workflow

Delivery | Git branching, code review and understanding the path from merge to production

Cloud | Working exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP

Communication | Professional English, spoken and written

Preferred qualifications

Docker · CI/CD · PostgreSQL · Redis · cloud deployment · front-end performance and accessibility · Agile delivery with distributed teams · exposure to enterprise, manufacturing or operations software.

Meet your team

You will work within Astrexa’s product and engineering team on customer-facing and internal software initiatives. Engineers can work across different technology and project contexts, gaining exposure to international business requirements. Astrexa’s international client base spans the UAE, Europe, Australia and the United States.
